Getting started with 1-To-All Network is easy.
Just follow these simple steps to sign up:
  1. Choose a calling plan that fits your needs.

  2. Choose a telephone adapter or a Wi-Fi phone.

  3. When you receive your device, connect it to your broadband connection. (Instructions are included with the adapter.)

  4. Plug in your phone and start using 1-To-All Network.

Service Requirements

In order to use the 1-To-All Network service, you need to have:

  • A 1-To-All Network account and phone number

  • A broadband Internet connection (such as DSL, cable, T1, LAN, or WAN)

  • Note: Most broadband service providers use dynamic IP addressing, but if you have a static IP address, you will need to know your IP address, netmask, and gateway address. Your Internet service provider can give you this information.

  • An 1-To-All Adaptor with built-in router

  • A telephone

  • A PC with Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser version 5.0 or higher (used for account management only)

1) Installation with a Single Computer

  1. Disconnect the power from all devices on your network. This includes your Cable/DSL modem, and computer.
  2. Disconnect any USB cables from the Cable/DSL modem, if present.
  3. Connect an Ethernet cable from the Cable/DSL modem’s Ethernet port to the WAN port on the MTA Device.
  4. Connect an Ethernet cable from the PC port, on the MTA Device, to the Ethernet port, on the computer.
  5. Connect a telephone to the LINE 1 port of the MTA Device using a standard phone line.
  6. Connect the appropriate Power cable to the Cable/DSL modem.
  7. Wait about two minutes for the Cable/DSL modem to boot up, before continuing.
  8. Connect the Power cable, provided with the MTA Device, to the POWER port on the MTA Device.
  9. Wait at least five minutes for the MTA Device to boot up. The MTA Device “RUN LED” (yellow light) will blink in sequence until it has fully connected to the 1-to-all network. There may be updates that need to be downloaded, such as new firmware or changes to your features. Do not interrupt the configuration process by unplugging the power or lifting the receiver on your phone during the startup process. Interruption of the startup may result in interruption of service.
  10. Once the MTA Device “RUN LED” light is solid yellow, the MTA Device is ready to use.
  11. Pick up your telephone receiver and listen for a dial tone. If you hear a dial tone, you have finished the installation and can begin making calls.
  12. Power up the computer. Your Internet connection should work as it did before you installed the Phone Adapter.
  13. If you have DSL, your DSL provider may require you to enter a username and password for PPPoE setup. Click here to learn how to enable PPPoE on the MTA Device. Not all DSL providers require PPPoE setup. For more information, please contact your DSL provider.

2) Installation with Multiple Computers

Note: This configuration allows the Phone Adapter to prioritize your voice traffic. The Quality of Service option will ensure high-quality telephone service. If you would prefer a different setup, see Installation with Multiple Computers (Alternate Setup).

  1. Disconnect the power from all devices on your network. This includes your Cable/DSL modem, router, and computers.

  2. Connect an Ethernet cable from the Cable/DSL modem’s Ethernet port to the WAN port on the MTA Device.

  3. Connect an Ethernet cable from the PC port on the MTA Device to the WAN port on the router.

  4. Connect a telephone to the LINE 1 port of the MTA Device using a standard phone line.

  5. Connect the appropriate Power cable to the Cable/DSL modem.

  6. Wait about two minutes for the Cable/DSL modem to boot up before continuing.

  7. Connect the Power cable provided with the MTA device to the POWER port on the MTA Device.

  8. Wait at least five minutes for the MTA Device to boot up. The MTA Device yellow RUN light will blink in sequence until it has fully connected to the 1-to-all network. There may be updates that need to be downloaded such as new firmware or changes to your features. Do not interrupt the configuration process by unplugging the power or lifting the receiver on your phone during the startup process. Interruption of the startup may result in interruption of service.

  9. Once the MTA Device yellow RUN light is steady (not blinking), the MTA Device is ready to use.

  10. Pick up your telephone receiver and listen for a dial tone. If you hear a dial tone, you have finished the installation and can begin making calls.

  11. Connect Ethernet cable from the LAN ports on the router to each of your computers. Power up each computer. Your Internet connection should work as it did before you installed the Phone Adapter.

If you have DSL, your DSL provider may require you to enter a username and password for PPPoE setup. You will need to enable this option on the Phone Adapter and disable the option on the router. Click here to learn how to enable PPPoE on the Phone Adapter. Not all DSL providers require PPPoE setup. For more information, please contact your DSL provider

6) How do I set a Static IP address in the MTA Device?

To setup a static IP Address on your MTA Device:

  • You will need to have a computer connected to the PC port on the MTA.
  • Make sure that your computer gets an IP address of 192.168.99.xxx, where xxx can be any number.
  • As long as it has an IP in this format, go to http://192.168.99.1 from any web browser. To access this page you will need to have your computer connected to the PC/LAN port on the MTA Device since this page is hosted by the MTA device.
  • Click on the Network Configuration menu option.
  • Click on the radio button marked Specify Static IP Address.
  • Fill in the IP Address, Subnet, and Gateway accordingly.

After inputting the numbers, click on Save Changes. You have now set up a static IP address on the MTA.

7) How do I Enable PPPoE on the MTA Device
  1. Open a web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer using the computer connected through the Phone Adapter PC port.

  2. In the Address or Location field, type http://192.168.99.1 and press ENTER. This displays the MTA Device settings.

  3. Click Router Settings to display the Router Settings window. Its fields are:

    a. NAT Port map
This is used to write down the values of the port redirected/ forwarded to an internal ip (static)

    b. Access Filtering
This option is used for enabling IP filtering

    c. DHCP Server
This setting is enabled by default. If either of the following is true, no configuration on this page is required:
    i. You have a cable modem with no router and your cable provider assigns IP addresses dynamically.
ii. You have a router with DHCP enabled.

    d. Enable MAC cloning
MAC cloning is used in cases where ISP’s restrict internet access to the parent computer terminal of your company. IN such case you have to clone the MAC address of your computer in order the MTA device to recognize internet connectivity.

    e. Enable PPPoE
Contact your DSL provider for this information. If you have a DSL modem and are NOT using a router in front of the MTA Device, select Enable PPPoE and type the Service Name, User Name, and Password provided by your DSL provider.

    f. PPPoE Status
    Displays PPPoE status.

  4. Verify that all fields are correctly filled in and click Save Changes. The message “This will require a reboot of the unit. Are you sure?” is displayed.

  5. Click OK. Wait about five minutes. You cannot display the configuration pages or make or receive phone calls while the Phone Adapter reboots.

  6. Pick up your handset and listen for a dial tone. If you hear a dial tone you have finished installation and may begin making calls. If you do not hear a dial tone, please refer to the troubleshooting section.
